Jaden Smith has released his new album titled SYRE: The Electric Album. The album has only been released on his Instagram page for now. SYRE: The Electric Album features electric takes of some of the tracks from his previous album SYRE released a year prior. Last year SYRE peaked at Number 24 on the Billboard 200 chart and is certified gold.

Jaden released his debut album SYRE in November 2017. It featured guest appearances from A$AP Rocky, Raury, and his sister Willow. According to Smith, SYRE took 3 years to create so the new project is considered to be a quick follow-up.  SYRE featured various influences, it was very much a rap album. Smith tweeted Friday in reference to “The Electric Album” that this album here “is NOT a rap album.”

To celebrate his 20th birthday, Jaden released a new millennial pink–infused Syre-related footage with songs including “ICON?,” “Lost Boy,” “Ninety,” “Fallen,” and “B”. It hasn’t been said just yet when the album will be released on other platforms.  In an interview with Fader, Jaden revealed that Jay-Z played a role the final format on the project.

“I decided to talk to Hov and he told me he thought the album was cool and he said as I got older I would space out my verses more and I’d say more with less,” he told the publication. “That’s the total inspiration behind my next album.”

Smith recently shared a new single called “GHOST” featuring the brother DJ duo Christian Rich which he performed at the Miami Rolling Loud festival in May. Along with his new album, Smith will also be starring in a film called Skate Kitchen. Directed by Crystal Moselle, director of The Wolfpack documentary, the movie hits theaters August 10.

Until then make sure you check out Jaden’s new album released on his Instagram Page and IGTV, SYRE: The Electric Album.
