Celebrating 49 years of life to Prince Rakeem. Born Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, known by many names, born in Brownsville, New York. RZA pronounced Rizzah (Ruler Zig Zag Allah) the leader and main producer of majority of Wu Tang’s records. Hit records such as “Ain’t None to F*ck With” “Protect Your Neck” “C.R.E.A.M” and “Gravel Pit.”
RZA went on to form the group in Staten Island with Grice Jones with the addition of Method Man, Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Raekwon, Masta Killa & Cappadonna. The group was named after the kung-fu film Shaolin vs. Wu Tang.
Prince Delight went from beating a murder charge to composing scores for many Hollywood films, American Gangster (Ridley Scott, 2007), Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 (Quentin Tarantino, 2003-04), and Roxanne Roxanne (Michael Larnell, 2017), while also appearing in several films, Repo Man (Alex Cox, 1984), Funny People (Judd Apatow, 2009) and Due Date (Todd Phillips, 2010). RZA went on to directing his first film “The Man with the Iron Fists” in 2011 with involvement from Quentin Tarantino.
