Rihanna disses on her thoughts about social media and the constant controversy with Beyoncé in the April issue of Vogue. “They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative,” says Rihanna. “Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”
Not too long ago, Beyoncé dropped her surprise “Formation” video a few days after Rihanna’s album, ANTI, was exclusively released on Tidal (where she is also part owner). The two artist fans, #Beyhive and #RiNavy, then took to social media to express their feelings towards it. Many felt Beyoncé was trying to steal Rihanna’s spotlight, even though Beyoncé would go on to perform the “Formation” single the next day at the Super Bowl.
The interview also dives into Rihanna’s personal life involving ex Drake after seeing them together in her lustful video for “Work.”
