Chris Kelly of the popular 90's Rap group Kris Kross died earlier this week at the age of 34 from a drug related overdose. Sources close to him say that he has been on and off drugs (including cocaine and heroin) for the last ten years, but had recently cleaned up his act. That all changed in recent weeks, following Kris Kross' big comeback concert in Atlanta back in February of 2013. Kelly's mother told police the rapper had been taking speedballs (cocaine and heroin mixed together) Tuesday, the night before he died, and it's believed drugs contributed to his death. R.I.P.
Lil Wayne had a crazy week! On Tuesday he was hospitalized again for having another seizure. This comes just weeks after he came out publicly saying that he's an epileptic and has been suffering from seizures since he was a kid. As if his health isn't enough to worry about, PepsiCo just announced that they were dropping Weezy from their "This is how we Dew" Mountain Dew campaign due to his offensive lyrics about Emmett Till in Future's hit single "Karate Chop." Till's family had been expressing their outrage to the rapper as well as Mountain Dew for endorsing him weeks prior to him officially being dropped.

Seems Ray J isn't quite over his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian, even though she's now with Kanye West and pregnant. In his newest single "I Hit It First" he boasts about how he had her before anyone else, and even takes a shot a Kanye! This song is comical if anything, but I think we'd all agree that Ray J is reaching with this one. Listen here:
An arrest warrant has been issued for Gucci Mane after he allegedly assaulted a fan at Atlanta’s Harlem Nights club during his "Trap Back 2" mix-tape release party. Lil' Wayne was released from the hospital on Monday after suffering from back-to-back bouts of seizures. A new report suggests that the New Orleans rapper may have been poisoned. A source close to Lil' Wayne's Young Money group told Media Takeout that the rapper wasn't hospitalized for an overdose, he fell ill because "there was something in his [syrup]." Lil' Wayne has become so suspicious about the concoction he drank before he was hospitalized, that he hired a private security firm to conduct an investigation which includes an analysis, said the source. This might include testing the contents in Wayne's stomach. The source also said that while they cannot reveal who Lil' Wayne suspects may have been responsible for an attempted poisoning; the rapper and his loved ones believe it may have been a woman.
Lil Wayne remains in the UIC of Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. His condition is still very much unclear but according to reports, Weezy is currently in critical condition after experiencing multiple seizures caused by a Sizzurp binge. The rapper has had several close friends and relatives visit him like Drake, Chris Paul, and his Mother. Tweets from other artists such as Mack Maine and T.I. suggest he is "recovering" and not to believe that his condition is as serious as early "TMZ" reports would suggest. Guess we'll all have to just wait and see what happens. Get well soon Lil Tunechi!
Joe Budden & Consequence get into a fist fight at the "Love & Hip-Hop" New York Reunion show! Sources claim Consequence ran up behind Joe Budden and hit him in the back of the head while he was walking outside with Tahiry for a smoke break. Tahiry then snuffed Consequence before he ran off! After the reunion show ended the two got into another altercation outside the building and from the looks of it Joe Budden got the best of Cons! You can hear his wife Jen screaming in the background! Chicago police are asking for the public's help after a baby girl died from injuries she suffered in a shooting. 6 month old Jonylah Watkins was shot five times and transported to Comer Children's Hospital for at least five hours of surgery Monday March 11th. She died earlier this morning (Tuesday March 12th). The girl's father, 25 year-old Jonathan Watkins, also underwent surgery and was being treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital from the shooting. Jonylah was in a minivan with her father Monday at the time of the shooting. Police say the father was changing the baby's diaper in the front seat when a gunman walked up and shot them both. Investigators say they believe the shooting might have been gang related. Police say Jonathan Watkins has gang affiliations and an extensive criminal history, although his family denies that. Stop the violence Chicago!
Congratulations Lil Boosie! He recently graduated from his Angola State Prison GED program. He’s currently serving an 8 year sentence for drug charges, but may be paroled in 2014.
