Nas is being sued by a concert promoter who was kidnapped in December 2011 as a result of the rapper not showing up for a concert in Angola. 51-year old Patrick Allocco and his 22-year old son, also named Patrick, were kidnapped by local Angola promoter Henrique Miguel after Nas was paid $300,000 for a New Year's Eve concert and failed to show. The Allocco's passports were taken away and they were forced to stay at a hotel until Nas repaid the money he received. Nas eventually returned the funds and the father and son were allowed to return back to the United States in February 2012. The promoter has filed a $10 million lawsuit against Nas claiming that while being held for 50 days he was beaten and constantly threatened. He also added that because he was held so long he was unable to business and lost his home and his company.
