Late Comedian Bernie Mac Honored With Street In Chicago

About 200 people including Bernie Mac's widow Rhoda McCullough, daughter Je'Niece McCullough and the Rev. Jesse Jackson, gathered earlier today on a corner of West 69th and Sangamon streets in the Englewood neighborhood near the home where "The Original King of Comedy" grew up. . The block is named "Bernie Mac Street".
Mac was one of Chicago's well known celebrities. While starting his comedic career at Chicago's Cotton Club, Bernie has graced us on the big screen, stages, and claiming his own sitcom, "The Bernie Mac Show".
