HIP-POP REPORT WITH OZMAN: Destinys Child May Reunite At The Super Bowl
Huffington Post reports:
The Destiny's Child reunion at the Super Bowl looks like it could be back on.
This week, Michelle Williams adressed the rumored reunion, telling WRUG radio that the performance is not happening. "It is rumored," she said. "I'm gonna be in the musical 'Fela!' I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it's not true."
As MTV notes, however, a statement on the website for "Fela!" reads "Singer Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child, The Color Purple) is joining the cast for the show’s first stop here at the Shakespeare Theatre Company!... PLEASE NOTE: Michelle Williams will not be appearing January 31st – 3rd."
As the Beyoncé-headlined Super Bowl halftime show is taking place on Feb. 3, it seems that the reunion could still be taking place.
Earlier reports from an unnamed source to Us Weekly listed a rumored set list for the halftime show, which included Destiny's Child hits "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Survivor."
Destiny's Child released a new album, "Love Songs" on Jan. 29.
